FishEnable manufactures adaptive reel-assisted fishing reels for individuals with upper-extremity limitations. Traditional fishing requires sustained grip strength, dexterity, and repetitive arm movement — creating barriers for veterans, amputees, stroke survivors, and individuals with neuromuscular or mobility impairments.
FishEnable's motor-assisted technology supplements retrieval effort through push-button support while preserving the fishing experience. Users cast, fight, and land fish as they would with traditional gear — the reel assists retrieval without automating the process.
The product line includes the FE-EZ, FE-2500, and FE-4000, covering different fishing environments, strength levels, and target species. All models feature push-button assisted retrieval and Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V battery operation. Motor configurations 80 and 95 are available, with an optional 3.5mm adaptive switch port compatible with VA accessibility switches.
